Barts Tree Service is a family-owned and operated business based in Danbury, CT, since 2004. We believe in progressive and sustainable tree solutions for your landscape needs here in “Hat City” (locals get it!), and our team of arborists is highly skilled in all facets of tree care.
Barts Tree Service has deep roots in Danbury. Owner Matt Bartelme is a lifelong Danbury resident and graduated from Abbott Tech in 1998. We’re very proud to be part of a community that believes in the power of plant life. Our local library even holds plant-related events, such as how to use plants to rejuvenate the spirit!

Stump Grinding
When you have a tree removed, you’re going to be left with a stump. What should you do about it?
Barts Tree Service can grind your tree stump and make it look like it was never there. We have two grinders, a 50-horsepower stump grinder that's small enough to fit through gates as narrow as 36 inches and an 85-horsepower grinder that can handle stumps up to 10 feet in diameter!
Barts offers three levels of stump grinding service: grinding only, grinding and cleanup, and grinding and seeding. Let us know which service you need!
